Former King of Nepal, are forced Pay Electricity Account

Kathmandu, THURSDAY - After losing last year's throne, the former King of Nepal Gyanendra lost palaces and pocket money yearly. Now, Gyanendra will lose electricity free.

Director of Nepal Electricity Authority arjun Karki, Thursday (23/10), said, Gyanendra and relatives should pay the electricity bill of 1 million U.S. dollars (about Rp 9.8 billion). Gyanendra and relatives did not pay the electricity in absolute power since 2005.

Of the amount to pay for electricity in 22 buildings, including the former king's private residence and houses owned by the daughter, saudarinya, and sepupunya.

Nepal Electricity Authority to give due 15 days for Gyanendra to pay the bill. If not paid, said Karki, the electricity will be disconnected.

Gyanendra was forced otoriternya power in April 2005 by demonstrators prodemokrasi in action for several weeks.
